Fusion Drive
For this project, I designed a custom pendrive to serve as a client gift and an extension of my visual identity. Guided by my "analytical" trait , I researched user pain points like device loss and orientation issues.
I led the process from ideation to prototyping, evolving sketches into foam models and eventually 3D prints to test ergonomics. I concluded by fabricating the final model—3D printing, sanding, and painting it myself—incorporating functional grip ridges and my signature orange dot to align the product perfectly with my brand.

The process began with deep research into the everyday frustrations users face with flash drives, such as losing them easily or struggling with the correct USB orientation.
To address these "pain points," I focused my ideation on creating a form that was both harder to lose and easier to handle. I sketched various concepts to improve the ergonomics, ensuring the device would feel substantial and secure in the hand while maintaining a clean aesthetic that aligned with my personal brand.
Turning these concepts into reality required an iterative prototyping process to get the "feel" right. I started with foam board models to test the physical dimensions and interaction, then advanced to 3D printing to refine the final form.
The final model was 3D printed, meticulously sanded, and spray-painted to achieve a professional finish. I incorporated specific functional details, like side ridges for better grip and a signature orange dot, ensuring the physical product was a true extension of my visual identity
The final design combats the common frustration of losing small flash drives by featuring a more substantial, ergonomic form that is harder to misplace. Additionally, the integrated side ridges provide a secure tactile grip, solving the issue of orientation and making it easy to plug into a device correctly every time
