Happy Wags

Duration: 4 Weeks
Domain: Branding, UI/UX Design

Happy Wags is a research-led website and digital communication project focused on improving trust, clarity, and accessibility in veterinary care.

Pet owners often make healthcare decisions during moments of stress and urgency. In these situations, the clinic’s digital presence becomes the first point of reassurance.

This project explores how thoughtful UX and visual communication can reduce anxiety, simplify decision making, and help pet owners feel supported even before visiting the clinic.

Defining the Problem

Veterinary clinics provide quality care.
However, their digital experiences often fail to build trust.

Research revealed key gaps:

  • Pet owners judge credibility through the website

  • Emotional reassurance influences decisions as much as medical expertise

  • Poor navigation and clutter increase hesitation

  • Mobile usability is frequently overlooked

Many existing veterinary websites create friction at the exact moment users need clarity.

Common issues included:

  • Unclear information hierarchy

  • Confusing navigation on mobile

  • Limited trust signals such as doctor profiles and testimonials

  • Complicated appointment booking

  • Weak accessibility considerations

What I Learnt

Research-led digital design can reduce anxiety, support decision-making, and make care feel human even before direct interaction occurs.

Designing Happy Wags strengthened my ability to translate research insights into clear, empathetic, and accessible digital experiences.
